Help me find a gift...
Hi, I want to buy a friend some lipstick or lipgloss because she doesn't really wear much make-up except some green eyeliner on her bottom lids.
She is very dark asian skin tone. We tested Benetint on her once and looked ok on the lips but too orangey on the cheeks, she also said it made her lips peel so I won't be getting it for her.
She had a recommendation from a Clarins rep for a lipstick but when we tried it on her I felt it was too bright. Since she wears almost no make-up I think anything bright would make her feel self concious.
I was think of deep berry colours.
Any help would be appreciated.
what about the Clinique Black Honey that everyone seems to rave about..I have the gloss but not the lippie. I have read that it suit everyone!

With your friends skin colouring, have you looked at Iman cosmetics...I remember reading about her starting this up because she found all makeup til then was created for white skin and so she decided to start up. I just had a quick look at the site and there are a good few darker colours in the range. Although there is makeup on here for all skintones incl white I thought perhaps this might be an idea as the colours may be more likely to suit her?

There are so many, I don't think you have to go a brand specifically for people of colour when it comes to lip colours, foundation is a different story.
Berry toned glosses I wear are
MAC lipgelee - Moistly
Lancome JT - Razin (i think?)
MAC Lustreglass - Decorative
The clinque Black Honey is gorgeous as well
Thanks guys, actually I used to have an Iman violet coloured liquid lipstick and was perfect for my tone.
I'll check out the black honey, I can always return it if it doesn't suit her.
