Question:
How do you use your BB Shimmerbrick?
I've bought one in beige and I love the look of it in the compact but I can't seem to get it to show up on my light olive skin. I used it over a rosy blusher but it doesn't really seem to show.
I've tried a few different methods over the past few days but it just seems to be making me look shiny.
My OH said it looked like I had just washed my face, which isn't the sort of look I was after!
How do you apply yours and any application tips would be most welcome! :)
hmmm Hols maybe you need one of the other colours maybe the apricot or peony or bronze or even brownie instead?
The beige one doesn't really deposit colour as much as the others as its the one described as best to give you that candle lit glow. Have you tried taking a picture of yourself with it on and seeing if makes a different that way?
When I put it on you can only tell in certain light, but that is sort of what I want. I don't want to be shiny all the time just glow at certain times.
I use it on the cheek bones over blush, on the forehead/nose and chin lightly and as eyeshadows. The whitish one is perfect for me as a highlighter but you might try the next one down and the last colour is really good as a contour colour IMHO.
Thanks hun.
It might be that i'm not putting enough on, I might have a bit of an experiment with using the darker colour as a contour.
I got the beige as I wanted a neutral glow but it just looks shiny on me for some reason. It makes me want to dab my skin with matte powder!
Will give it another go.
I agree with NoAddedSugar, maybe try the bronze? I use the same application method as both of you, just layer it over blusher. Ive always used a light hand when applying but as the beige is quite light maybe swirl your brush across all colours a few times so it picks up enough colour.
