Question:
Opinions please? Blusher and Mascara questions
 Hiya, I'm interested in opinions in this, particularly from beauticians/make-up artists etc. but from everyone else as well. Two questions:
1. Where do you apply your blusher. I've had so many conflicting opinions over the years. Is there a right or a wrong, or does it depend on your face shape? I have quite a round face and not really any natural sign of cheek bones, so do I apply on the bone, below it?????
2. Mascara, same again really. For years I have applied Mascara to top and bottom lashes, but a lot of people just say top. Again is there a general rule or is one or the other better suited to your eye shape. I have quite big round eyes and lots of lashes!!
I'd like to ensure I'm making the most of my features so would really appreciate replies and opinions on this!! :)
I have very blonde lashes and I use lots of mascara so it looks funny if I only wear mascara on the top lashes.
im not sure if there is a definite place to apply blusher as people seem to have different opinions on it, but i heard especially if its cream blusher that you should apply it on the apple of you cheek kinda starting in line with the iris of your eye and then blend it out and up along your cheek bone, or if you cant see you cheek bone where it should be anyway!!
as for mascara i usually curl my eyelashes then apply two coats on the top and one on the bottom, maybe adding a bit more if im going out at nite..
I've always thought blusher should go where you would naturally blush  So if you smile you'd apply it to the fleshy 'apple' part and then feel where your cheekbone is and blend upwards along that. If you want to do contouring then try a bronzer for just underneath your cheek bones.
Mascara wise i do either. Sometimes i'll just wear it on my top lashes if i want to look more natural and i'll apply to top and a bit to bottom for a more dramatic look. Some people don't like mascara on their bottom lashes as it can look doll like but i quite like that :D
I'm cat on this. I apply Blusher (cream blush) to the apples of my cheeks, where I'd normally blush.
A useful tip is to smile, this makes the apples stand out (), and easier to know where you're meant to be applying.
A big no no is a harsh vertical line of blusher-this looks completely unnatural, and very 80s
Mascara wise-I do both my upper and lower lashes. I use the wand in a zig-zag/see-saw motion, and usually use two coats.
Hope this helps?
xx
