Pink eyeshadow- how do you apply it?
Question:

Pink eyeshadow- how do you apply it?
One of my Christmas presents was a Clinique eyeshadow palette. In it is a pink shade called 'Disco Pink', it's more a rose pink rather than a pastel shade. When I tried some on the other day it just made me look like I had sore eyes. Is there some special place or technique to apply it or is pink only suitable for certain skin shades.
I have fair skin and blue eyes. My hair is naturally mid-brown but at the mo I have honey/caramel blonde highlights in.

i tend to wear a pink powder eyeshadow under grey eyeshadow - i only wear one particular pink on its own as its a cream that very sheeny and fab with a tan as its also very pale almost nude with a hint of pink shimmer

Try with a black or brown liner. Or use a darker shade in the crease or to create a < at the outside corner of your eye.
Pinks on their own can be difficult on pale skin so I always try to have some sort of contrast like a second colour or a frame such as loads of black mascara and some eyeliner.
It could also be the colour of pink you may want to look for a cooler tone that is more blue then red based.

Thanks, I'll have to spend a bit of time experimenting :) .

I agree with NAS, I'm very pale and I can wear pink eyeshadow but I wear very pale ones. I like clinique touch tint in pink sheen. I then add brown eyeliner and brown mascara and it works really well.
