Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
Question:

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
I bought this on a whim during a flight after hearing people rave on about it but I just can't get the hang of it. Is it supposed to be thick and ointment like? The intructions say apply liberally but my face just looks all greasy - help what am I doing wrong?!!

Oh dear, it really IS too thick to be applied all over the face. And its very medicinal smell is quite an acquired one. It sort of grows on you. I don't use it as a "cosmetic" or a skincare kinda thing. Instead, it's in my first aid kit at home that I apply on cuts and burns (yea, I'm THAT clumsy) and it works a treat!
Sometimes, I dab on the tiniest bit onto my lips before I go to bed and they are oh-so-soft when I wake up in the morning. Oh, I sometimes apply them to dry patches on elbows and feet too.
But, I do think it's too thick and greasy to go onto my face. :)

I only use it on my cuticles or feet, or on dry patches on my elbows. I'm not sure why it gets such great reviews from all the makeup artists :cmdunno: I would never apply it to my face.

Agreed.
I use it on my elbows and on my nose (when the skin has gone rough if i've had a cold) but apart from that it is far too thick and greasy to use for any other purpose.
