Question:
Want to have teeth whitened...
I know there has been topics about this in the past, and I have read some of them, but just want to ask a couple of questions and see if anyone else has any thoughts...
I want to have my teeth whitened because I am so fed up with them. If I couled afford it I would get veneers as the front two are a bit squint, but I think just having them whitened would make a great difference as they really are horribly yellow, I guess from too much tea drinking!
I have some money (about £250) from savings which I have been waiting to spend, and decided after years of being so consious about my teeth this will be a worthwhile investment...
I've read about The Smile Place (http://www.thesmileplace.co.uk/) Anyone used it? It sounds good as I was willing to save a bit extra and spend £300+ on this, but they offer it for £99... seems too good to be true thouugh!
One place near me does this Zoom whitening, its pricy at £400, but only takes 2 hours rather than having to wear those trays - anyone had Zoom done?
Finally, I wonder if my teeth wuld be suitable. On a few of my teeth, including the 2 front ones, I have bits which look a bit whiter, I think someone once said they were to do with lack of calcium? I hate them but have never known what they are, and because of them I worry my teeth wouldn't evenly whiten. Obviously before whitening them, even if I used The Smile Place home kits, I'd go and see a dentist, but anyone working in dentistry might know what these bits are and if they would prevent me from having whitened teeth?
Thanks if anyone can help! :)
personally i would always say that the cheapest opption is not always the best..i mean if your happy with it then go for it, however my friend had a cheap version hes was only 70 pounds but she said instantly from using it her teeth became so sensitive thinking that it was the treatment and it would go away she continued and now her teeth are so so sensitive and she really does have trouble with them.
.i know im rambling but just trying to help..
my mum also had hers done..she loved her teeth anyway shes obsessed with them hers cost her £300 from her dentist he matched everything up personally and she had appointments for evaluations and to see if the bleach was suiting her..although its expensive this treatment provided 8 months worth of bleach..(not the houshold one) and now every two months she has another syringe (sp?) and this is only £20.
However regarding sensitivity i think its a risk that u take with anykind of whitening. Hope thats of any help whatso ever.
