Question:
Any suggestions on how to manage shiny T-zone?
Hi - I'm 32 & have sensitive combination skin - I use products aimed at the combination side as sensitive ones just seem to clog up my pores & i break out.
I still have T-zone (not too bad) but wonder if there is any product you can put on your T-zone prior to putting your make up on - has anyone tried these?
Clinique Pore Minimizer T zone Shine Control
Origins Zero Oil
there used to be a Body shop shine control product - where it was half talc & half toner - you had to shake it before putting it on - is that still availbale??
Secondly - when I do have the product - do you put it on before or after toner and moisturiser?? I've read that moisturiser usually put on first onto bare skin cos that is what your skin pores 'drink' first, otherwise it will just sit on the surface of skin & slide off - is this true? I want moisturised fresh looking skin which doesn't get shiny!!
BTW I use L'oreal Visible Result Moisturiser which leaves my skin lovely & soft, & Shu Uemura Water perfect water based foundation.
cheers!!
i haven't tried the products that you've mentioned but i can say that boots no 7 mattifying primer is quite good. it keeps you grease free all day but be careful not to use to much or it 'balls' up if you know what i mean!
also, i tend to put primer on after i mositurise my skin!
Most primers that control oil contain silicone & are quite effective. My skin tolerates silicone well but my niece's gets clogged & then breaks out. She manages well on ordinary milk of magnesia from the chemist. She just dabs it on before make-up, & after cleansing & moisturising at bed time. It's cheap, too.
I use Biore Oil Control Moisturiser on my t-zone and also Corn Silk powder.
These work a treat for me.
