Please help, any ideas for Eczema Treatments????
hi everyone :wave: , My mum has quite bad eczema at the moment :( and the doctors have prescribed her some steroid lotion but it doesnt seem to be working, I just wondered if any of you guys can recommend anything she might be able to use?? Anything for the bath or lotions would be great.

Have a look on the Akamuti website, they do some lovely natural lotions and potions and some of them are specifically for people with eczema, dermatitis etc.
I find Allergenics Ointment Cream to be the most effective for me :) You can get it in Boots or Holland & Barrett, it's about a fiver, I think. There are 2 different Allergenics creams, I use the one in the red box, it's more moisturising than the regular cream :)
Thank you both for replying :) My Mumwill be pleased with the recommendations, I think she wants to try something natural, I will look on the boots website for that cream as well :)
Both hemp and shea are excellent natural treatments for any skin complaint. I use TBS hemp hand cream and shea body butter on my dermatitis and my boyfriend's eczema (on his back) and both do brilliant jobs.
To be honest though, if it's really bad, pure shea butter or pure hemp oil would be your best bets - it's best to keep treatments as pure as possible. The hemp hand cream does give you some protection against water and cold though so it may stop any cracking :)
I have an email address for a fabby lady who does pure shea butter lotions and potions, and they're not too expensive either - about £14 for a huge pot of shea body butter (fragranced with essential oils or just plain shea butter with other oils) and she also does solid pure shea butter fragranced with essential oils. PM me if you want her email addy :)
