Big red under the skin cyst/boils/spots
Question:

Big red under the skin cyst/boils/spots
  Hey guys:wave:
Ive got 2 of these things on my chin and one on my eyebrow:confused: :cmdunno:
Ive started putting steroid/antibiotic cream on them as ive had them for 2 weeks and nothings happening...weird thing is i havent picked once but the ones on my chin are bright red like ive been picking:confused:
Any ideas how to get rid of the redness? i dont mind the lump too much but the redness is horrible:boohoo:

Answers:

Ive got the same thing! Its just underneath my chin and I couldnt resist picking it, only to realise it was a boil type thing and now Im left with a huge red lump that's really unattractive! Ive been putting on sudocream and its reduced in size. Fingers crossed it'll just reduce to nothing in the end. :(

Answers:

I find Sudocrem helps take down the redness. I've also had a lot of success with Freederm gel recently - it is mean to reduce inflammation.

Do you think they are boils? Try sterilising a needle (and your skin) and pricking it - chances are the only reason they havent burst is because the skin on top is too thick and unless you lance them they could burst inwards spreading the infection :cmdunno:

Answers:

Yep, as fairy poppins said. It could be a boil. If it is I think that antiseptic creams that contain clorhexidine kill the infection. I think there's also something in TCP that does as well. Something beggining with a T. If not I'm sure the Savlon antiseptic spray contains clorhexidine. :)
