Question:
Would you all like a beauty chat forum?- yay or nay?
Hello all.
I have been thinking: we're a very close knit bunch around these parts, and have all made friends in Beauty, also, I know alot of Beauty baggers don't post elsewhere on the here boards, so how would you feel about having our own separate 'general chat' style forum?
As you all know, O/T threads are usually discouraged in here, but I thought as we've all come to make so many friends here it would be nice to talk about other things (I know, imagine not talking about beauty products?! :eek: :lol: ) with one another. Some of us might not want to post general threads in General Chat or The Bar as none of our friends are there.
So what do you say? Who's in favour? All opinions welcome.
I've been discussing it with Serendipity who is all for it, as is PrincessPashmina. Serendipity has flagged it up with here Admin (a.k.a Blaise), and we'll know the outcome shortly.
Oh, and I've also thought of a name too: The Salon. But if you want to contribute abetter name feel free!!
I remember this being discussed before - and I was in the minority for not seeing the point of it. But I think most people liked the idea.
I just think it prevents people making new friends - by getting out 'there'.
If everyone in Beauty made an effort to start using general chat or the bar, you could still all recognise each other, and chat - but you may also meet new people.

That's a very fair point Chocolatejo, thanks for the feedback.
No worries, I just think it spread a negative vibe - like beauty peeps only want to talk to other beauty peeps - in a special place. The general chat and the bar should be a place where people from all areas can join together (hums cocacola tune and sways from side to side)
I've added a poll to the thread so people who want to have a say but anonymously can.
I voted yes, mainly because I spent my first year on here only in the Beauty board. I ventured out after that and posted in all the forums for a few years but all the fighting about a year ago made me retreat back to Beauty and Fashion!:lol:
