Question:
Experiment on my face!
Hi ladies!
When I bought an eye gel about a year ago, never having used one before, I got chatting to the SA @ Boots and she suggested that perhaps the eyegel wouldn't help my dark circles because it might be cos I am slightly anaemic. I haven't been diagnosed or tested for this but apparently quite a few of us females are without realising.
So I have decided to have a bit of an experiment on myself! I have changed my multivitamin for one with iron in and am also trying desperately to drink the recommended 2 litres of water every day, starting today, and am going to take a picture of my eyes and my huge black circles and will get back to you with the results in a month so you can all see if I have any improvement.
I am suffering with a good few extra breakouts (in addition to my usual time of the month one) so I'm also hoping the water and actually taking my vitamins regularly might also make a difference.

PS I know its quite a few peoples New Years Res (from a previous thread by Miss Bean-19 Nov) to drink more water to help their skin, anyone fancy trying it out now to see if we can improve our skin for Xmas?!

This is a good idea, I will join you! I drink the right amount of water during the week, but not weekends and I notice my skin looking a bit dull after a weekend, especially as I pig out and drink at weekends, which I am going to cut down on in the New Year!
Oh and I can vouch for drinking water- it definitely improves my skin if I drink 2 litres a day. I drink about 3 litres a day; I’m forever in the ladies though but the benefits are worth it!
I’m going to start taking iron supplements for the same reason as you too and will report back on how I get on; I think Holland & Barrett have a sale on at the moment so I will check out what goodies they have!
Maybe worth getting a blood test to check if you are anemic?

Just a word of warning about the iron suppl, I remember when I was pregnant and took a similar one that it may cause a bit of constipation especially while your body gets used to the increased iron in your system.
I'm glad to here you can notice an obvious change in your skin when you are drinking enough water, thats really encouraging:D. I've made half hearted attempts before but only manage it for a day and then forget so I'm really determined this time.
Anyway nice to know someone else is trying this with me, that'll help me stick with it too, keep in touch and I'll do the same and fingers crossed we see some changes! I've just got Touche Eclat which covers up the circles well but it'd be nice to be rid of them properly or at least reduced, and save me some time in the mornings!

Hi Sarah
I just replied to your PM!
Have you tried other concealors and found YSL the best for your undereyes? I've tried so many and still haven't found the one! Although I do find oh la lift from benefit helps to brighten, alongside their lyin eyes-which are basically like YSL from the looks of things.
