How dirty can I get?
Question:

How dirty can I get?
Did anyone watch this programme the other night!?
Gross! but made me think!
Whilst obviously I am not going to give up hygeine altogether (!) it made me re-evaluate all the dozens of lotions and potions I put into my skin.
Whilst I think the feelgood factor that I gain from using beauty products and cosmetics outweighs the possible (unproven) risks they may pose, I am going to look and see what I really don't need to be doing and perhaps cut down on my products a bit!
Any thoughts?

I shower everyday, but I like to keep the products I use pretty basic, like using soap and shampoo, rather than using a new shower gel every week. I also don't use a strong, perfumed soap, but plain, gentle soap.

Yes that is the same idea I am going to go for. Just using a simple shower gel. Hopefully organic and cruelty free etc.
Trying to change some of my products to more gentle and chemical free.

i stopped using deodorant about a year ago - my oh is very turned on by natural clean body odours.
the bit in the prog about breast cancer was very disturbing so i'm glad i did!

The most disturbing thing about this programme was that the woman didn't brush her teeth for a month  Her teeth were so stained from red wine, all she used was a tooth pick. I don't know what she was paid but I don't think I'd do that to my teeth, the bloke only lasted about 4 days without cleaning his teeth.
