Question:
Help with choice of blush
Hi, I'm new to all this but have been reading and learning loads from you guys over the past few weeks and i have to say, you've all got me experimenting with my makeup more than i ever have done before and i'm loving it.
I've read many of you rave about Nars Orgasm blush. I'm indian and wondered if this would show up on my skin colour. I've seen the colour online but not for real and it looks gorgeaous. I guess my colouring can be compared to Shilpa Shetty from Celebrity BB.
I've also heard many of you mention Benefit 10 which also sounds great at bringing out the best in cheekbones.
Which would you guys recommend most and which would i be better off investing in?
Also, how do you clean your makeup brushes?
Thanks!!
Hi Hot !
NARS Orgasm is quite universal and it will probably show up on you. Its a fab investment ! :D But to be sure have a look at the local NARS counter if you can to see the colour in person.
I havent got the Benefit Perfect 10 but Im sure the other girls with rave about it.I dont really get along with Benefit blushers-fragrance is too strong.
Cleaning brushes is very simple- J&J Baby Shampoo - clean it like you do with your own hair, lather, rinse in warm to cold water. If its quite dirty, then repeat. Dampen most of the moisture, reshape into natural shape.then leave to dry flat on kitchen towel. I put my brushes to dry on the windowsill overnight.
I sometimes use brush cleaner too, the MAC or Clinique one is good.
Hope I've helped abit :)

Ive tried Nars Orgasm and it didnt show up on my asian skintone, Im abit lighter than Shilpa. MAC Margin and Springsheen are meant to be very similiar to Nars Orgasm so you could try those. I have both and they show up.
I have benefit 10 and I dont really like it to be honest. Its difficult to blend and the highlighter shade looks unnatural on me.
To clean my brushes I use Johnsons Baby Shampoo.

Hi!
Welcome to here, I am indian/punjabi and nars orgasm is one of my favourite blushers, I am lighter than shilpa shetty but i think orgasm would suit you, i think it looks stunning on asian skin tone. I think it works well on most skin tones though. Orgasm is such a lovely pinky/peach blush with lots of shimmer and really make my skin glow. I use mac 168 brush to apply it, i do have to add quite a bit to my skin, but i do love rosy cheeks!
I personally do not think benefit 10 is nice, i think it is quite dark, and would make skin look slightly muddy. It is more of a bronzer/highlighter rather than blush.
I clean my makeup brushes with baby soap or shampoo. I washed mine last night with johnsons all soft wash.. and this morning my brushes were really soft!
