Question:
How long do unopened cosmetics last? (& offer details)
Hello lovely beauty baggers,
Max Factor have got 3for2 offer (Tesco) and Maybelline have 2 for £10 on selected products (Superdrug)
I only buy Max Factor Mascaras If I bought three would they last ok or do they have a best for date?
With Maybelline I have the mouse foundation, I tend to use them up in 5-6 months will they be good for year (wouldn't open the 2nd until I finished the first)

I think most things have a good shelf life unopened (at least thats what Alison says on QVC!). Keep them out of the sun and in a cool place maybe?
I hope its true. I always bulk buy my Elizabeth Arden foundation compacts when they're on offer. At the moment I have 2 unopened ones as well as a new opened one which will take me through to well into the New Year.
I think most cosmetics last for 2 years unopened. Keep them out the sun, and in a cool place to keep them at their best.
They'll be fine. I sometimes buy cosmetics in Boots that have been reduced because they've changed the packaging and have used them a few months later and they've always been OK.
My local Tesco doesn't do hardly any make-up:(
I buy in bulk when I like something - nail varnish and lippie seems to last forever. If you do not open the mascara and keep them in a cool dry dark place you should be okay for a couple of years. Foundation would probably go off quicker but a year should be fine. Things often go on special when they have been on shelves for ages though, I have found.
