Question:
Make up for red, blotchy skin
Hi ya,
I have very red, blotchy skin on my cheeks which flushes and blushes at the drop of a hat! I use Simple cleanser and moisturiser. Can any one recommend any products and/or make up that would conceal the redness? I would be eternally grateful if I could find something to tone it down a bit!
Thank you
I dont have any tips but am keeping an eye on this thread as I have the same problem!!
The dermalogica green tinted thingy intrigues me does anyone know if thats any good?
:)
No7 have a product for redness, It's called Calm Skin Redness-Relief Gel, apparently it covers up the redness and used regularly it evens-out the skin tone. I haven't used it though, but you could always try MUA and see if there are any reviews, It's a bit pricey, but there's an offer 3 for 2, I think.
My skin doesn't blush easily, but I do have red scars from spots and I use the Rimmel recover primer, it's green tinted. It does an OK job of covering up the redness, and the tube lasts me about 4 months.

I've got the dermalogica stuff, it doesn't tone down the redness completely but it does make your skin more even. I've tried lots of products but the best has always been Benefot bluff dust. Although as I'm not used to wearing huge amounts of makeup I only wear it in the evenings.
My sisters friend has a similar problem and has been using the dermalogica skin care routine for about a year and has noticed a difference. I find the same things set it off, alcohol, spicy foods, change in heat but once it comes on, it doesn't go down for ages.:o
benefit bluff dust i may have to try this then, is it the yellow one? I got the boots 17 colour corrector green stuff but didnt really like it very much didnt seem to do anything and went a bit dodge will check out the recs
Thanks!
