Question:
Please help my skin - Dermalogica?
Hi, I've been having some trouble with my skin recently and I really want to sort it out..
My skin used to be oily all over, but now I've just got an oily t-zone, normal cheeks, and my chin and the lines between my nose and mouth (does that make sense?) are both dry and sensitive with a bit of a rash and redness :(
I am thinking of trying dermalogica, and was going to buy one of the mini skin kits to try it out.. which one would be best for my skin? I think the oily one would be way too harsh on my chin, so it's between the sensitive skin kit and the combination kit. What's the sensitive moisturiser like? Is it very rich, as this will probably make my t-zone even oilier than it already is.
Thanks for any help

The sensitive moisturiser is seriously horrible imo, I hate the silicone texture! I would say see if you can try both the Skin Smoothing (it's not too rich imo, more suitable for normal than dry skin) and active moist and see which one suits you better.

Do you mean barrier repair? I love it :D When I have eczema on my face it is the only moisturiser that the eczema doesn't 'feel'. I find it sinks right in and doesn't leave a greasy film on my face so at the same time isn't too greasy for my t-zone.
I suit products from different kits and I went through two or three kits to realise that. Charley maybe it's worth having a chat to a dermalogica therapist and trying some samples? They can be very generous with them.
I have similar skin and suggest Clarins 'Gel Nettoyant Purifiant' or Purifying Cleansing Gel. They should give you a sample at any Clarins counter.
Hi Charley,
I have very similar skin and can recommend Deromoliga Intensive Moisture Balance. It's the best moisturiser I have ever used. I get mine from Dermalogica from Jersey Beauty Company | Main Section
Before that I used Origins Have a Nice Day for a few years, which I was quite happy with. It has SPF unlike the Dermalogica so you don't need to use a separate sunscreen.
=)
