Mix and match or loyal?

I was wondering if you mix and match different beauty products or use the same brand and/or same collection? Not sure if mix and match is the right phrase so I hope you know what I mean eg cleanser, toner and moisturiser all matching from the same company, or different ones from different companies?
I am new here and this is my first question so I hope it is ok!

My make up tends to come from mac. I love their service, I like the way they choose shades that will suit and show you how to wear them. Plus the products I've tried have been fab.
With skincare, im more of a tart (so to speak). I love lush cleansers, l'oreal eye make up remover, boots clearskin toner and No7 protect moisturiser

I tend to stick to MAC and NARs makeup wise but Im forever buying mascaras from different brands!
Body products - I stick to Palmers and The Body Shop.
Skincare - Ive used the Liz Earle Cleanser and toner for 4 years now and Ive used my Estee Lauder Hydracomplete Moisturiser for 5 years. I like to try different eye creams and face masks but the basic cleanse, tone, moisturiser routine I tend not to change! Took me years to finally find the right products!

i'd assume no7 protect and perfect beauty serum, because it's the only non-suncare product with protect in the name :) until the body lotion comes out, that is.
