Question:
Bare Escentuals v Lily Lolo
I use Bare Escentuals mineral foundation, but have heard all the recs for Lily Lolo on here and am thinking about trying it!
Do you think Lily Lolo is better than BE? Has anybody tried both? Are they much the same?
Cheers! Ruth x
DO you have any issues with BE? Does it make you skin shiny or make your pores look huge? Do you find yourself having to use a lot of MV over/under the BE? I had these issues (plus it made me itch) so I switched to LL.
I was happy with LL until I tried Avon, but have found the Avon to be comparable to LL & much cheaper to boot.
Others to try are Urban Decay, Philosophy, L'Oreal Bare Minerals, Jane Iredale & Sheer Cover (all are fairly easy to get hold of). My fave, however is an American brand but I have to rely on my cousin to get it over there & ship it to me - a real PITA!
Skinstore has started selling Illuminare (Illuminare Cosmetics) which I love for really hot weather as it doesn't budge no matter how hot, sweaty or oily I get. It leaves a lovely glowing finish, too. Again, I used to have to get this from the US but now I can stock up over here, I'll be getting some more when my bottle runs out. If you've heard of ERA (Classified Cosmetics Makeup & Skin Care :: A Revelation in Beauty) here - also a mineral but in a spray-on form - you'll know that fans like me say that the finish & staying power is wonderful. Illuminare is in the same class as this IMHO.
There have been some good tips about BE foundations on shoppingtelly recently. The bit about buffing it for longer has really made a difference to my skin as I had given up on BE in the past.
