Question:
Help a trainee make-up artist
Hello everyone,
Well, after years of loving all things pretty I finally took the leap and last week I started a professional make-up artist course which will hopefully lead to a career in the field:faint: :cool:
As part of the course (with a well-known international company) I got given a pretty cool make-up suitcase full of goodies but there's so much more that I feel like I should be getting. I don't really want to ask the tutors because they're affiliated with the company so I can't be sure if I really need what they tell me to get, or they're just doing the hard sell:confused:
So....with your kind help, I'm hoping to come up with a list if products that every make-up artist should have. I should probably point out that when it comes to my own make-up, I'm a bit of a Benefit addict and have pretty much everything:o
All suggestions and ideas are welcome and in return I promise to volunteer my professional expertise, if and when I get one...

Hi GG! Congrats for your new career launch :D I bet you are excited!
As for items, I'm no expert, but MAC has vast colour range of eyeshadows, blushers and lipsticks (and they are not offensively expensive) so hitting the shop when you decide what shade do you want would help.
The makeup artist I met used Shu Uemura brush range, and raved about it. Also girls in here love MAC brushes (though I've never tried 'em).

Well done on the course! I would love love love to become a make up artist, but I was discouraged when I was leaving school.
