Pigmentation, marks left after spots
Question:

Pigmentation, marks left after spots
Hi all. I wondered if anyone knows of any creams i could you on my gross skin. When i get a spot, it leaves a horrible dark mark, ok so i might have a little pick, don't we all though. A few on my face, but my back and shoulders are covered and have been for the last four years, so clearly they won't fade like the doctor said. I can't wear sleeveless tops, so clothes shopping is a nightmare, and summer is hell. I can't even take my children swimming, and its stopping me from getting married, i mean what kind of dress would i wear. I'm quite light skinned because i stay out of the sun now, but i used to be well into sunbeds and tan quite well but it makes any dark marks even darker, so i stay out of the sun now. I'd like a cream that fades these marks, anyone else suffer too and what do you use. There are so many creams out there i have no idea where to start. thanks

I was just about to write a thread about the TBS moisture white range :D
I tried it for the first time at my skin training conference and I was impressed. My store doesn't sell it but other consultants have told me it's great but I always thought it would be really harsh.
It's LOVELY and gentle, and smells aniseedy - I didn't react to it and I react to everything! I only managed to play with the serum and the eye cream but I was very impressed with it.
The bloke who I was talking to about it said it costs £80 for the full range (cleansing powder, toner, moisturiser, serum and eye cream) but if you just wanted to buy one product I think the serum would be the most effective :)

This is caused by pigmentation from the sun. Spot marks can stick around permanantely. Because they're not just leftover scars but pigmentation marks. As the area is more vulnerable to this when it hasn't healed up from the spot properly.
So the best thing to do is maybe give some glycolic acid peels, microdermabrasion etc. Or like Fairy and sophisticate said some whitening products or something that is targeted at brightening/fading pigmentation, a go.
The exposure to sunbeds while you had un healed spot marks. IMO would have been what caused this. And that it would be alright to spend more time in the sun. If you make sure you use a really high factor sunscreen on any future spot marks, until they are healed up.
HTH :)

At the time the sun beds certainly cleared up my acne, so maybe this is the cause of the marks.

I have used the body shop cleansing powder, its nice but i didn't notice any brightening effect.

There are so many creams out there i have no idea where to start, my concern is most of them you buy off the internet and i wonder how safe they all are. Michael Jackon got his skin white, so there has to be something out there for me.
