Hair Removal Problems
Question:

Hair Removal Problems
  Hi
Due to the sun being out at last I feel the only one who seems to be self conscious when showing skin mainly because of shaving problems. Whenever I try to shave under my arms or my legs I either get a horrible rash, my skin looks all prickly and most certainly the next day the stubble seems to be showing. It's a particular problem with underneath my arms. Has anyone got any suggestions at all? I would love to go prancing around in a bikini on holiday but just feel so self conscious about excess hair or obvious stubble rash showing.
I have tried waxing before and thought the results were good. The only problem though is you need to grow the hair again to a certain length before going back.

What do you use to shave with? If you use a disposable razor and soap/showergel you could experiment with a shaving oil or gel or even some hair conditioner! I also find the Venus razors pretty good. You could also try smoothing on some aloe vera gel afterwards to soothe any irritation. Tesco Skin Wisdom used to do a gel specifically for post-hair removal but I'm not sure if you can still get it.
As for under your arms, I find Dove Deodorant really good for making them look exposable.

It's really really painful, but what about epilating? I have the same problem, terrible stubble, but if I manage to epilate every 2-3 months it makes my stubble grow back a lot finer and more manageable for shaving.
I'd reccommend getting p*ssed first though. :cmdunno:
You can also use it with hairs shorter than you need for waxing.

I'm the same :head: never found anything that suited me though I can't be doing with waxing and waiting to be a hairy monster to do it again and epilating is evil  so went back to the razor..I always get razor rash and have experimented with variant shaving creams, lotions etc...I never have completely smooth legs but I've just come to accept it  I'm going to a wedding on Friday night and wearing a short dress and I'll have to shave my legs tomorrow night there is no way I could do it beforehand and then wear the dress as I'd have a rash for sure. By Saturday morning my legs will need doing again...

I have the same problem too. I seem to get shaving rashes so quicky, Even when i wax i seem to get a huge prominent rash :boohoo:
I just stick to shaving my legs, and just moisturising them with veet hair minimiser cream which has aloe vera in it! I have a problem with under arm hair too, it grows back so quick and my skin looks very dark underneath, i have tried waxing, and not only does it hurt, but it does not help very much.. such a pain :(
