Hair removal/Is Veet any good?
Question:

Hair removal/Is Veet any good?
I used to shave my legs, but in the past few months have been using those silky mits, which are OK but I don't get the same kind of smoothness as I did with shaving. I nearly bought that Veet in shower stuff today, but the cashier told me she had used it and it was rubbish (so she saved me £5.99!)
My question is 1) What do people recommend as the best leg hair removal product 2) does the cream stuff last any longer than shaving/reduce growth unlike shaving?
Thanks!
Rachael

The best I've tried is Sally Hansen Extra Strength Hair Remover lotion. It depended where I was using it on how quickly the hair growth was noticeable though and it did pong! I used to get it from Superdrug but my local shop had a product range overhaul and stopped selling it.
I think the reason regrowth isn't as noticeable is because it dissolves the hair rather than blunt cut it, so it's softer regrowth.
I can't be sure though because I just use it inbetween breaks with the epilator.

Hi
I've used the normal Veet stuff and although I find it leaves my legs smoother than shaving, unfortunately the regrowth comes through in about the same time.
I also find that I go through loads of the stuff if I'm doing my whole legs, which would make it way more expensive than shaving to use it on a regular basis!

I don't think you can beat waxing! I use the Veet pot wax that you heat up in the microwave, it's fab :)

I prefer waxing or using an epilator. I've bought the veet mousse in the past and it didnt work at all on me - it just made the hairs on my legs go curly - very attractive:lol:
