Question:
skin care for sensitive/easily irrated skin?
Hi Girls,
I used to use Liz Earle and loved it but I seemed to have developed an allergy to it and was getting big itchy lumps appear on my face. I have stopped and started using TBS's aloe range which stops the itching but doesn't seem to help with spots (although lumps going). I need a prevention not just a cure!
I do some have Dermalogica calming cleanser that I started using today - does any recommend this? Basically my spots are hormal and wondered if this may help - also commuting to london with all the trains etc doesn't help.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry to hear you're not getting on well with the Liz Earle cleanser Purple Rain. I have the dermalogica ultra calming cleanser but I just use it to remove makeup as the liz earle cleanser irritates my eyes. The ultra calming cleanser is excellent at helping ease congestion and soothing irritated skin but I find it abit drying.
I did have a similiar problem but with the liz earle skin repair. Its quite heavy and I was applying too much. I started to get these little red lumps under my skin. The best thing I found that helped clear them was Elemis Lavender Herbal Repair Mask.

Thanks. LE's toner is too strong for my skin, then the cleanser decided to make me itch! I have some cetaphil at home that I haven't given a proper go yet - do you think that would help? I get a new spot everyday and its been that way for 7 years now - really need to stick to a good range:boohoo:

Yes Ive heard Cetaphil is quite a gentle cleanser so it should be ok for your skin. Like you said though, the best thing is stick to one cleanser for at least a month so your skin can get used to it. Have you seen your doctor about these spots?

Yes they just give you some cream and send you on your way. When I was on the pill it was worse but now am on injection slightly better and oil production is slowing down now but I think its where I am buying products to stop the oil and spots am not thinking about the sensitive issue enough.
