Question:

Walk-in Makeup Salons, similar to hairdressers/beauticians etc??
  Hi there,
One thing I've often wondered is why do there seem to be no make-up salons where you can walk in and bring in a photo or describe how you would like your maek-up done, what colours etc, then pay and leave, like a hairdressers or beauty salon?
I know you can hire a makeup artist to come to your house but I believe they are expensive, and who would go to such pallava for a night out, when a lot of people think nothing of going to the hairdressers to get their hair done just for a standard night out, not just weddings and other similar occasions?
I think it would be a fantastic idea, sometimes I see a makeup look I love but simply cannot recreate, and think it would be fab to have professional makeup done to match freshly hairdresser-styled hair for a night out.
Why do you think this has not yet happened? Or have I just had my head buried in the sand all this time? If anyone happens to know of any facility like this in Liverpool then please do let me know!!

I see where you're going, and I do think its a good idea, however, most beauty salons do make up! Obviously you have to book an appointment, but most beauty therapists are make up trained too. In the salon I work in, we have hairdressers, nail techs and beauty techs, and people can get their make up done, but most of the time its brides who chose it.

But I see what you're saying, maybe it would be good if there was a fully trained make up artist available when you go for hair nails, ie someone who only specialises in make up?

Yes I know some places do offer it, but as you say, it's usually just associated with Bridal.
I know I could always get it done anyway, but I think it would be a great idea to have something similar to a nail bar, tell them what look you want and they do it for you.
It's a wonder nobody has capitalised on it yet!!
