Question:
bareescentuals v Lilly lolo
I have been using BE for some time now and really like it - my skin has improved dramatically/it is quite natural looking etc etc. However, loads of you on here rave about Lilly Lolo (which I have never tried) and I'm just wondering whether people have tried both and whether they prefer one over the other. Lilly Lolo is cheaper than BE and also a British brand I believe so I would be happy to switch if people thought that Lilly Lolo was as good (or better) than BE?
What do you reckon??
I use Lily Lolo, but have recently tried BE as my mother bought me a lovely gift set. The BE that I've used is good, provides great coverage and feels very natural but really LL does pretty much this anyway (plus this comes in a variety of shades for all skin tones, not just the bog standard 5-6 colours most foundations are available in). Although I do like the Bare Escentuals, for now I will stick with Lily Lolo as there doesn't seem to be too much of a difference in general.
Thanks Lilac - I might try the lilly lolo when my BE runs out shortly.
You could try BE Rare Minerals overnight (they're meant for night time use) & LL for the day. The LL shouldn't reverse the difference BE's made to your skin & the Rare Minerals might help it further. I had good results with it & it's a gentle way of getting Vitamin A on your skin.
Hi there
I first tried mineral make up with BE and thought that I'd found my HG foundation but it was only after trying Lily Lolo after seeing so many commnets about it on the bag that I realsied it was even better (and cheaper).
I find it's less 'metallicy' (have photos where my skin is metallic shiny :o ) than BE and you need less on your brush for good coverage. The colour match is better too.
