Skin serums
Question:

Skin serums
  What do they do?
I don't really get what they're supposed to do. When they first started appearing I assumed they were a lighter alternative to moisturiser. For people who found moisturiser too greasy or it broke them out. From the ones I've seen, they always say to use them before your moisturiser though. I can understand the point of ones that have certain ingredients that are beneficial to the skin, like a vitamin c serum for instance. Or ones that have a particular action iyswim. I don't really get what using a skin serum in general is supposed to do though.
Are they supposed to help moisturiser absorb better, does the fact the product is a serum help IT'S ingredients be absorbed better
I'm just wondering because I noticed TBS have a new vitamin E one and I was thinking about giving it a try as the vitamin E moisturiser is nice.

Answers:

Hmmm, I'm exactly the same as you OC, I'm not entirely sure what we're meant to be using serums for. Lets hope someone can explain. :great:
