Question:

HELP Need foundation advice
Calling all of you skin experts. i am using clinique superbalanced at the mo, i quite like it but it doesn't really even out my skin tone (not sure what i am doing wrong maybe i should use a primer first??), I know MAC do a great range can someone recommend me a foundation or if you know of another brand that would be more suitable for me
i have quite dry slightly uneven toned skin, dont like anything to heavy on my skin though, i get the occasional breakout too, also maybe with an SPF
help! whenever i go to the beauty counters i get so flusterted by the HUGE choice that i just walk out again :(
I have a black tie dinner and dance to go to this saturday and would love to look gorge and have flawless skin -if only.... :faint:

Hi DW
If I feel the need to use foundation I turn to my Chanel Teint Fluide Universal. It has a satin finish so gives a lovely powdery soft look to skin. I too have dry skin and it works for me. Maybe have a go at a Chanel counter with it?
It does have an SPF 15 in too which is great and is quite light.

Another Chanel gal here
I use Teint Innocence. It's very sheer/lightweight and contains SPF too.
I can don't even realise I've got it on, it's that light. Won't buy anything else!
Hope that helps?
Oh, and it comes in a good range of shades too!

I love my chanel foundation too! I use the PRO LUMIÈRE, which gives a bit more coverage than the Teint Innocence. Really nice and glowy but without looking oily.

I like Lancome's Photogenic Ultra Confort (applied with a foundation brush but you can just use fingers), it is specifically for dry skin so it doesn't highlight dry bits. It has just enough coverage to make your skin look flawless but not feel overly heavy and it is really longlasting if you set it with a very light dusting of powder - Guerlain Meteorites powder is gorgeous for creating a luminous glow without being at all sparkly, and setting your foundation if you want a dewy look.
To get your skin tip-top before the event try using a gentle exfoliator a few days before to even out any dry bits, and on saturday make sure you leave at least twenty minutes after applying your moisturiser before you apply your make up.
Hope that helps - have a fab evening at the dinner:) .
