Question:
Spray Tan V's Rub on Tan
Hello!
I'm off on holiday in about 2 weeks time so i'm booking myself in for a fake tan.
My mom and brother's girlfriend will be going with me, the spa we are going to provides two types of tanning options
One is a spray tan (i'm assuming the therapists will spray it on?) and the other is where the therapists exfoliates you then rubs the tan in herself.
I've heard mixed reviews about both and was wondering whether you could give me your opinions?
Thank you in advance x
I've had a spray tan in a booth where you adopted certain positions while the tanning unit automatically sprayed you. You feel incredibly stupid but it does work. After the spraying you step out of the booth into another booth and I was told to use the special mit to buff off the excess then rub moisturiser in.
I a naturally olive skinned and I found the tan to be too dark even for me (especially as I had it done in the middle of January).
I could've had the option to have the therapist spray me manually and opt to have certain areas shaded more than others to create a slimming effect (perhaps on thighs of down the sides of your torso) and with hindsight I think this would be best.
Personally I use a fake tan moisturiser every day so I am used to applying it and wasnt keen on the booth tan but other's on here really like it I think.
What is your skin colouring like? You could always ask for a sample spray at your local salon before committing to the full tan just to get a guide colour?
Thank you!
I'm am quite pale and have blonde hair so anything too dark will look really silly!
The girl at the spa has said the tan is only very light, so i think it should be ok.
I was all up for the rub on tan, because i thought it might produce better results as they exfoliate you then rub it on, but my aunt has had both spray and rub on and she has said she prefered the spray. She said the rub on tan started to streak when she got hot.
