Question:
compact foundation
Hello ladies
I am looking for a new foundation/powder (currently switching between Chanel double perfection fluid with Biotherm powder, or Lily Lolo mineral foundation and setting powder). I quite like the idea of having something all-in-one to save time and also so I can refresh it during the day. And possibly save myself a few quid!
I have quite oily skin, so looking for something oil-free and non-comedogenic, and also something that comes in quite pale shades. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!!
Hiya, I use Studio Fix by MAC.
I wouldn't recommend it for drier skins as it's quite matte but since you have oily skin it might really suit. It's ideal for lazy people like me as it takes 10 seconds to swipe on and then you don't have to think about it. Lasts for hours and is very reliable, but it's really handy to touch up on the go as it's just a compact and there's no mess. You can build up the coverage if you have spots or anything.
It's in more shades than you can shake a stick at - I'm v. pale and I take N4.
Hi
I don't use them myself as my skin is dry but I know alot of people use the Elizabeth Arden compact and love it - plus its not as pricey as some other brands.
Estee Lauder now do a compact of their DoubleWear foundation which has excellent staying power and is great for oilier skin types.
LAnocme do a nice compact too but I'm not sure what its called - oh and you could also check out Clinique. :)
i'm another one who loves Mac studio fix compact powder foundation, it's great stuff for a quick all-purpose product for fixing up the face, conceals really well, feels light and can be used wet or dry or with sponge or brush, also it comes in sooo many colours so is convenient.
Thanks very much for all your replies!
I might go and check out the Mac studio fix as I like the idea of being able to apply it wet or dry.
Have a great weekend everyone!
