Question:
Spray tan in a booth- not a therapist
Has anyone been to a spray tanning booth before?
What do you do? Just strip and stand there?
I've had a therapist apply it before but never a booth, what can I expect?
I think you are told about 3 or 4 different positions to switch to while you're in there. Never had one though, I prefer soemone to do it for me :)
:) Ive had one done before.
I stood in a booth and told her what sort of colour i'd like to be,and then got undressed, and told to stand in a few different positions and she just sprayed away.
You can keep a bikini on or go naked, entirely upto you. You cant wash for 6 hours or so.
However i would recommend looking into a few salons and finding out how good they are and how much.
Mine was about £10/£15 i think, and not to put you off but,i hated it!! Got home and scrubbed it off within the hour!
Prehaps its because im not used to seeing myself tanned, but i felt like a tangerine and the woman who did mine looked like one too!
But ive found a new place, their spray goes on clear and your skin activates the tan and you only tan to what you would naturally in the sun, so im going to give it a go - sounds alot better!
Let you know how that goes when ive had it done :)
Hope its been some help to you
I've had a booth tan done and unfortunately tried it again  - bad mistake. Maybe I'm just unlucky but both times were terrible! You stand there naked and press a button then it starts spraying in a fine mist, you're supposed to move about a bit, but there was a poster in mine, telling you what to do.
The first one I had done, it was faulty and I ended up with a big white dribble down my face, the tan was really dark and fake looking, so it was very noticeable and unfortunately lasted a week! . The second time, I just looked like I had a bad skin disease, as it was so patchy and such an unusual colour.
Sorry but I don't know anyone who's used these boothes, to be happy with the results. Maybe we were just unlucky though :cmdunno: .

I have had one and I hated it. I found it really patchy and uneven (altghough this could have been my fault for not getting into the correct positions)
I much prefer having the therapist do it and I would never use the booth again!
