Question:
Cheaper alternative to the MAC 182 brush
I've wanted the 182 for ages but couldn't bring myself to pay out all that money for it! Today in Boots I saw the No7 Ultimate face and body brush which is a kabuki brush. I've never seen it in there before so I assume it's new. I've tried it out by buffing in my blusher and bronzer andI love it! I can't say if it's as good as the MAC one or not because I haven't tried it but it's good enough for me to not want the MAC one anymore and it's only £9. It wasn't at the No7 counter though, it was on a stand where they have make up brushes, tweezers etc. Just thought some people might be interested.
I used this again today and I think it's now an HG brush for me. I used it to apply my face powder and then to buff my blusher and bronzer, and the make up just kind of melts into my skin if that makes sense. It makes my blusher look seamless and very natural. I also used it to apply my MAC yogamode beauty powder and my skin looks flawless. I'm so happy! I've never used a brush that's had such a big effect. All I need now is a skunk brush!
Oooh sounds good! thanks for that. i might have a look, the 182 has been on the back of my mind for ages, after all the reccs on here, but sadly, tis a tad too dear for me at the mo! Although, i do have a face/blusher brush from the body shop and it is fab, sooo soft!
what is a skunk brush by the way?
ETA- don't worry, the curiosity was burning away so i looked it up
ow that does sound good, i too am in desperate need of a new bronzer brush. Had mine years and all the bristles are falling out!
do you use it for bronzer or just face powder?

I've also got the TBS face and body brush, it's lovely! I am still using it to apply things then buffing everything with the kabuki.

I haven't tried it for bronzer yet but in theory you should be able to, although it might take a bit of getting used to as the bristles are quite densely packed. I'm super pale so I have to be really careful with bronzer but on the MAC site they say you can use the 182 for bronzer.
