Question:
MAC foundation/powder help
hello, i was just wondering what your thoughts are as there seem to be lots of MAC experts out there! i'm going to brum on sunday with my boyfriend and I was originally going to buy another Stusio Fix compact (i bought one not long ago but it is slightly the wrong shade) but now i've looked on the website and the fluid version of Studio Fix and Select SPF15both sound really good too!my skin is combination, but i usually need powder because the oily sections are very oily, but i don't want an overly thick finish. was wondering if anyone had tried any of these and has any comments about them?
(if anyone has any thoughts on benefit georgia i'd like to hear them too, am considering buying it also hehe)
thanks very much!

Hiya,
I bought Studio Fix fluid yesterday and absolutely love it!! I bought it from Selfridges in Birmingham too! I don't like really heavy foundations and this is perfect for me!!! I need the tiniest bit to get the coverage that I like so I am sure that it will last for ages! I use Benefit Get Even powder because I suppose that I sound like you, I have combi skin too and the Get Even is perfect for this! I would really recommend the Studio Fix though! I can't speak for Georgia sorry as it is too pink for me but I have Dandelion and Hoola and love both of them! :D Enjoy your shopping trip! MAC have some lovely stuff at the moment, I wanted it all, hee hee xx
I haven't tried the foundations but you could always get one of those and then a pressed powder to go over the top. I love the select sheer powder, not cakey at all. The Blot powder is designed primarily to mop up oil so that might be good for you although I have combination skin and find the select sheer fine
i bought select spf15 yesterday and its great! my skin didnt get all oily again until really late - i had it on at 10.30am and it was about 9pm when it started to slide off - i hadn't even set it with powder!
it's very light and my skin could breathe. thats pretty important in the summer! the MA said extra coverage should be achieved using select cover up - not by layering the foundation.
Hi there,
I tried the Select SPF15, and sadly i didn't get on with it, i have really dry skin, and it just seemed to dry it out even further. So i guess if you have oily skin, it would be pretty good for you! It gives a very light coverage.
Oh, also, I found that with Selectspf15, the colour seems to be slighly lighter than the other ones. Usually I am an NC30, so i got it in this, but it seemed more like an NC 25. but that might just be my weirdo skin!
