Question:
30% Glycolic Acid
Just ordered some of this and was wondering if u nice ladies can give me some tips on how to get the best out of it.
I'm hoping to fade some mild and some deeper acne scarring will this help.
I'm getting the lower strength initially and if my skin can cope with that I mite get the 50% if I get gwd results
i have the 30, 40 and 50% glycolic acid but i don't tend to use the 50% that much cos it's quite strong, i usually use the 30 or 40%.
i separate a cotton pad into 2 layers so it's thinner and wont soak up too much acid, then swipe it on all over my face gently, i leave it on for about 5 minutes then neutralise it with bicarbonate or soda mixed with water. i pat the mixture all over my face and you can hear it sizzle as it neutralises the acid.
you can apply the acid to the face with a fan brush as well apparently and i bought one but have never used it cos it looks like it could get messy. to get the right amount of acid on the cotton pad i just put over the top of the bottle and shake the contents upwards so it soaks into the pad without drenching it.

no particular ratio, i just use about half a teaspoon of bicarb and just add a bit of water so it's a bit like a grainy paste then i dab it all over my face.
i used to do the peels every 10 days or so when i first bought the acid for about 5 times, now i just use i when i feel my skin need refreshing so every 2 months perhaps.
it's really helped with a few small marks and shallow scarring has been nearly eliminated.
it's really great at getting your overall complexion more even and smooth.
i can' wait to try it now my complexion is terrible
