Question:
Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick
How do you decide which colour would suit you?
I have light brown Asian Skin which i think has yellow undertones as my skin is quite yellow....
Hi,
I have light asian skin too. I like bronze and the new sandstone shimmerbrick. If you go to the US Bobbi Brown site you can chat to a makeup artist online where they recommend the right shades for your skintone.

I've got yellow toned oilive skin (Mac NC30-NC35) and I found the Apricot and Rose Shimmerbricks to be great...the apricot one gives a lovely glowy look (liek the blush that Nadine or Cheryl Tweedy from Girls Aloud wear) and the rose one gives you that wonderful healthy flush.
I have mixed race olive/yellow toned skin (Mac NC37) and in the summer I use 'Brownie' which leaves a great sunkissed glow, without looking too shimmery.
In the winter I like to use Bobbi Browns Blush stick in 'Berry' and use the 'Beige' shimmer brick on my cheek bones to create a wintery glow.
I might post some pics later on here to show these two shades.
Ok. here are some pics to help you with shades.
The only other makeup I have on is Mac NC37 foundation (and some lash gel) to help show the true colour.
This is Brownie. I apply it with a large kabuki brush, as I find that most 'normal' blush brushes and the BB face blender arent fat enough and makes the colour look too harsh. I swirl it over my cheeks and outer eyelid for a just-been-in-the-sun look. I use a small brush and apply some of the second shade from the top of the brick on my inner eyelid.
The Beige is more of a light gold/champagne shade. I use the BB blender brush for this one, as the colour isnt so strong as the other shimmer bricks, so you need a firmer brush. I apply it to the cheekbones and bridge of the nose. I use the top shade in the brick under the arch of the eyebrow, and the second from top shade for the inner eye. I usually wear this with a berry blush as it can leave you washed out otherwise, but I havent applied any blush for the pic. This is more of a true highlighter shade.
Hope that helps...;)
