Question:
No 7 uplifting cream - skin reaction
I bought the No 7 uplifting cream a couple of weeks ago and while it felt quite tingly I thought it suited my skin but on saturday morning when i applied it my face felt really stingy and it went red and blotchy. Now I have never had a reaction to a skincare product before and i would never have classed my skin as sensitive. Has anyone else had reactions like this to products? Does this mean my skin may now have become 'sensitive' from overloading with different products or is it possibly just a once off with this particular cream?
Could be either really - just don't use it again.
Take it back, get your refund and treat it as a one off. If you have a similar reaction to another product then you should think what ingredients they have in common.
It is near impossible to judge what has caused the sensitivity from one product unfortunately :( It is very much trial and error.
my aunty just had a severe reaction to no7 advanced hyrdration, she went back to the counter and all they said was 'oh you must have had a reaction' but wouldnt give her a refund. it was really bad too, she couldnt open her eyes for a few days.

When other people on here have had reactions to No7 Helen@Boots has told them to take it back and get it returned. If they won't accept it phone up customer services. It's odd because No7 is supposed to be designed for sensitive skin but since it was all reformulated I've heard of a lot more people reacting to it.

Babybelle, your aunty should absolutely have been given a refund for this, I apologise for the fact that she didn't. There is a process that the consultant should have followed that would have logged the reaction, sent it back to Head Office, as well as giving her a full refund. Its only be tracking reactions that we can react if there is a sudden rise in reactions, which can happen, even after all the testing. It allows us to take action, relook at formulations, all sorts. I am sure your aunt won't want to go back in to store again, but if she would like to write to Customer Services then they will sort out the refund for her. If she addresses her letter to Customer Care, Boots the Chemist, D94, Nottingham, NG90 1BS that will get to the right people. Please feel free to PM me if she has any difficulties.
Thanks, and apologies again
