Question:
1980's make up!
Hi everyone :)
I hope you guys can help me with my problem:
I'm organising an 80's themed party for someone's birthday and the theme is a surprise so I have to put together the outfit, shoes, accessories and...... MAKEUP!
she is indian btw and i would love any ideas of what makeup i could buy her to complete her 1980's look. (so far i only have parent leatger pink stilletos  )
i don't mind spending a little bit of money if the makeup can be transferred to everyday use (is that even possible with 80's makeup?)
thanks so much

Urban decay do alot of brights/neons so would be a good brand to go for. You can get their makeup from boots or online at www.asos.com and www.hqhair.com.
Mac also do so many different coloured eyeshadows, glosses. You can get some really vibrant ones.
A cheaper option is barry m. They do alot of bright glittery and neon pencils, nail paints, eye dusts etc. http://www.barrym.co.uk/
Collection 2000 do bright eye dusts as well.
Or, as you would find it hard to use anything too bright again. Lily Lolo sell sample sizes of their eyeshadow dusts. So there would be plenty in the sachet for one night. They also sell samples of all their other stuff, including powder foundation. Which would be great for creating a matte face. The eyeshadow shade blue lagoon should work well for the neon look. www.lilylolo.co.uk
Stargazer also do alot of neon makeup which would be great.

I would say good looks to go for are (obviously you're not going to use them all) just some ideas.
Silver, white blue or glitter eyeliner.
neon eyeliner
neon eyeshadow (maybe you could buy a few and blend)
fuschia lipstick
coral/orange lipgloss
bright pink blush
false lashes
glitter (maybe on the eyelids)
drawn on flick with the eyeliner
matte foundation
coloured hair streaks
coloured mascara
neon or black nails
hair mascara
crimped hair with a headband
lots of hairspray or hair mousse on the roots of the hair for volume
You could also incorporate fitness gear into the outfit, very 80's. Maybe some 3/4 lengh leggings, batwing top, leotard, that kind of thing. Or a tutu type miniskirt (you could add netting to an old miniskirt if you can't find one) with 3/4 length leggings. Or maybe an oversized slogan tee. Also lots of bangles (neon and plastic) and or gummy bracelets (all black), hoop earrings and or lace (fingerless gloves etc).
gee whizz!
wow!
thanks OriginalCindy that's so many great ideas there for everything! you are now my 80's guru!:girllove:
