Question:
A couple of questions about Mac brushes
Ive recently gone mad and bought a load of mac brushes from the website. They look lovely and are of good quality but i am having problems applying makeup with them. They are silky soft and they arent picking up much makeup at all. Its taking me ages to get the depth of colour that i want. I have tried the eyeshadow brushes and a blusher brush up to now and although they are lovely. I cant do anything with them? I know you girlies really rate your Mac brushes, so where am i going wrong?
Also, what brush do you use to apply your cream colour base? I am too spoiled for choice and cant make up my mind.
Hmmm, didn't seem to have a problem with mine?
Did you wash them all first before you used them, as I think you are supposed to do this as they put something into the bristles to keep them together while in the packaging (I think that's why anyway?! I know there's some reason why you should wash them before using )
What do you mean by cream colour base :o A cream compact foundation or a coloured blusher? Sorry :cmdunno:
xx
Thanks for replying. No i havent washed the brushes i wasnt aware that it was important. Maybe thats why they are soft and useless.
The cream colour base is on the Mac website under the eyeshadow section.
Since my earlier post ive ordered another 2 brushes so i am determined to get to grips with them. I will give them a wash before i use them next to see if it makes a difference.
umm, not sure about the cream colour base - i've not heard of anyone that has used it before. I would say you need a synthetic brush to apply this as it's a cream.
Which brushes have you brought?
