Question:
Facial Hair
Hiya
This is really getting me down at the moment so I am after a bit of advice.
I have always had a bit of a problem with facial hair but recently it seems worse.
I have recently started to get my upper lip waxed as I have always had a bit of hair there and it is very dark.
I have also always got a few dark hairs on my chin or neck which I normally pluck out however recently, there seems to be a lot more hair on my neck and chin, not dark but because there is quite a bit of it and it is quite long you can really see it.
I'm just wondering if anyone else suffers from hair on their chin and neck and if so, what do you do about it?
Thanks x
Oh god I can talk to you on this subject
After my husband loving referred to me as Noddy Holder  (tosser) I developed a major paranoia about my sideboards and begun to use hair remover, to cut a long story short, my skin has reacted badly the last 3 or 4 times Ive used it, gradually burning more each time and when Ive done it I look awful.
I know you are now reading this thinking, well stop doing it then. But he has ingrained in me that Ive got manly sideboards and I cant stop it, Ive tried waxing myself at home but waaaay too painful.
I am going to try my best to leave it alone now and stop worrying about it, you may not think thats much help but what I am trying to say is, its probably not as bad as you think and be careful with it, dont get like me stripping your skin off every few weeks, its not worth it!
A friend of mine swears by spearmint tea to reduce facial hair, although I think you have to drink quite a lot. There's an article about it here. Am going to try it myself as I've always had quite a lot of facial hair and am getting bored of threading/plucking/bleaching/removing. Am considering getting laser treatment as well (that's a bit of an extreme one though).
I get my facial hair (upper lip, eyebrows, and nape of neck although isn't on the face i put my hair up and have long fine hairs there, i know it sounds yucky :cmdunno: ) threaded here http://www.thepowderlounge.co.uk in Central London and it seems to grow back finer and finer as well as slower so I don't have to keep going back. The finish is very smooth and I get v. nice results when I go there.
I use an epicare wand for my top lip and its really good and gives a smooth finish.
