Question:
Hangover Beauty - any tips?
I know prevention is better than a cure as far as hangovers go, but does anyone have any beauty tips for when alcohol fights back?
My usual routine is to drink loads of water, relax and sleep, apply a cold eye mask and clinique all about eyes (to take out puffiness), apply boots clear skin cleanser (to stop spots) and keep make up very minimal - i.e. clinique concealer, lily lolo foundation and mascara.
Anyone got any more good tips?
apply twice your normal amount of moisturiser and really massage it in, all the extra massage will help your circulation and make you look less ill, then a bit of beauty flash balm, touche eclat, curl eyelashes bit of mascara and dandelion powder and lip gloss.
or avoid the outside world at all costs and soak in a nice bath for as long as possilbe
Sorry, don't think there's any miracle solutions for how you feel while nursing a hangover. I take some milk thistle suppliments (natures detoxer), drink loads of herbal tea, and make sure I eat something stodgy - that and Alka Seltzer XS all helps.
If I'm not too drunk to remember, I drink loads of water before going to bed (I put a big bottle by the side before I go out) and take two paracetemols. This is usually my saving grace.
Pup as many illuminating products on your face (illuminating, not sparkley!) as possible. An illuminating moisturiser, YSL touche eclat (or similar), some illuminating powder (I like either my lily lolo if i need coverage - like if I have to leave the house, or Guerlain Meteorites to smooth over - or both if I really look ill) and a natural rosey blusher. Oh, and a bit of natural-type waterproof mascara. I like to keep it "natural" too.
Hi,
I either put foundation on r failing that make sure you use concealer and bluher to give you a healthy apperance and mascara. But definatley a brightening product like calrins beauty flash blam or the benefit equivlent (i can't remember the name!) Lots of sleep is the only real cure!!
thank you there!
i've heard good things about milk thistle before, I'll have to give it a go!
I've learnt my lesson and I'll be drinking alcohol very slowly in future to avoid hangovers. its miserable spending all day in bed witha pounding headache and wanting to puke!
