"Must have" U.S makeup/skincare buys
I think this should be made into a sticky as this question crops up quite frequently.
I'm off to NY/ATL in Aug and am planning a huge beauty spree.
I know MAC's cheaper over in the states. Which other brands are?
Which products are really good over there which can't be bought over here??
Which stores should I head to? I know Sephora's a must. Walgreen, Rite-Aid and CVS are the popular drugstores.
Please post all your rec's on here as I'm sure the info will be handy for everyone travelling stateside :)
As I said on the other thread, all the brands are cheaper to the exchange rate. I lvoe how I feel so rich over there!

Oooooh you lucky thing!! V jealous :D I went to NY earlier this year and spent a fortune dragging my poor BF round Sephora... virtually everything they stock is cheaper and as chocolatejo said, cos of the exchange rate it makes it even cheaper :yay:
Also there are huuuuuuge chemist / drugstore things called Duane Reade which have loads of traditional chemisty stuff in them cheaply... the coveted Vaseline in a tube, moisturiser, shampoo & conditioner etc.
Sephora was amaaaazing! Got loads of Benefit stuff, L'Occitane, Philosophy, Pout and Hard Candy stuff... (whoops!) but justified it cos its loaaaads cheaper... for example Benefit Georgia in Boots here £22.50 and in Sephora in the US its $26.00 so £13.00!!!! :yay:
Anyway, have a fab time...
