Question:
Dry eyes!
 Hello everyone! For last week or so, I've had dry, flaky skin all around my eyes. I have been putting Nivea creme on them before I go to bed and little in the morning, but then my eyeshadow goes all funny. I usually have quite normal skin so I have no idea what is up with this dry eye skin thing. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for a gentle moisturizer or eye cream? Thanks!
I tend to get very dry, flakey eyelids and recommended a product in another thread regarding dry skin, so I'll do the same here incase you missed that thread!
An excellent cream for very dry skin is Aqueous Cream B.P which you can get from Boots. It is a dermatological cream specially designed for the symptomatic relief of dry skin. You only need a tiny amount of it and you apply it directly to the part of the face which needs it rather than everywhere as it is quite rich. It's excellent stuff! :great:
Despite having been prescribed aqueous for years I recently discovered that I'm allergic to it, so although it's an excellent cream, do a patch test first.
You can request an ointment over the counter at Boots called Simple Eye Ointment. It clears any complaint outside the eye and you can use it INSIDE as well - my colleague gets eczema inside and outside her lid and swears by it.
