Anyone use/tried Lily Lolo eyshadows?
Question:

Anyone use/tried Lily Lolo eyshadows?
After having heard a lot about Lily Lolo on here, I finally got round to looking at their site (I know, how behind the times am I? ).
Now, I'm really tempted by their eyeshadow powders. Particularly, 'Gunmetal' and 'Smoky Brown'-they look beautiful.
Am interested to hear anyone's opinions/experiences with them. Do they blend well? Are they easy to apply? Etc...

I got a load of testers of these and one full-size one a while ago. I found them quite difficult to apply and got eyeshadow everywhere!
However, these are the only loose powder eyeshadows I've ever used so it was probably just my technique. There's a good range of colours though so I'd say it's definitely worth getting a few testers to see if you like them, as they're quite cheap!
:D
ps. the full-size one I got was in mystery (a VERY dark green/grey), and this was impossible to blend! The lighter-coloured testers were easier to apply.

Thanks for the reply Annashaw!
Hmm, I've used loose eyeshadow before and not had too much of a problem with it.
Might try some samples to begin with, see how I get on with them before I go ahead an purchase full sizes.
I just love the look of the range, very cute!

Hi Miss Bean,
Hi i have a few of the samples and think they are really nice, I have golden lilac and its gorgeous, I just use a normal eyeshadown brush and havent had any probs with the application, it seemed pretty smooth to put on to me. I have green opal as well, they're both good cos you can build up the colour from something quite subtle to something more bold.
Hope this helps, I'd treat yourself to some samples and give them a try

Hi MissBean,
I'd agree - definitely recommend buying the samples first - if you use decent brushes they last for simply ages. And ages and ages... :)
I've always found them very easy to blend and apply, and the colours are lovely. The only downside I've found is that they crease very quickly - usually by lunchtime. You definitely need an eyeshadow primer to keep it in place (which can conversely make the blending slightly more difficult  ).
