Big rave for Dead Sea Spa Magik Algimud Face Mask
Question:

Big rave for Dead Sea Spa Magik Algimud Face Mask

I'm not a big lover of face masks, they're usally to greasy/drying and cost too much.

Lately I've been on a Dead Sea salt bathing kick. I love how it makes me feel, and it doesn't irritate anything and I sleep like log after. So when I ran out and went to Debenham's yesterday to get more, I saw the nifty little face mask sachet and decided to give it a go.

This stuff is like a science project. In the sachet is powder mud/algea mix, to which you add 75ml of still mineral water. Once you do, it immediately starts turning into goo. I spread the goo thickly on my face, and binned the stuff that started gelling in the cup I used to make my mix, and waited about 15 minutes.

The mask never gets completely stiff, but rather quite rubbery. Its touch dry in about 5 minutes, but the manufacturer recomments up to 20. After 15 minutes, bits started lifting off on it's own. When I peeled the mask off, I could see a clear pattern of my pores (cool!) along with bits that have come out of them. It's like a gentle biore strip for the face, but there's nothing harsh about it. My skin is left glowing like no other exfoliator has ever left it. It's not a miracle product (there's no such thing), but this is the first mask I've used that really left my skin feeling fantastic. Definately worth the £2.75.

One word of warning: avoid your hairline and eyebrows. This stuff really sticks to it and is so difficult to get out!

I don't rave about products often, but I really love this!!!

Ooh - I've wanted to try this for a while now, I think I'll get it and do it tonight.
I'm another lover of the dead sea salts bath by the way - I usually have one of these if I've been neglecting my skin or if I have a special occasion coming up.

I'm so glad you've posted this!
I bought one of these a few weeks ago at the bargain price of £1 and haven't got round to using it yet.
I was planning on using it today or tomorrow. I am really looking forward to using it now :)

I second xanthia's rec, I used to use this and completely agree, it's great.
Haven't used it in a while though, so thanks. This has just reminded me to buy some more.
