Question:
Tip - ezcema sufferers
Now i'm not sure if this will work for everyone but after reading around abit, i've started cleansing my face with olive oil.
I was abit suspicious at first, but thought what the hell.
In 5 days pretty much all my ezcema on my face has cleared up, when i've had ezcema on my eyelids for about two years straight, and suddenly its completely gone!
Now i've gone through my fair share of products, E45, Liz Earle, etc this is the only thing that has worked.
No promises though, it may not be so helpful to anyone else, but i thought i had to share if its helps at least one other person!
Good luck ladies, oh and feel free to chuck any questions at me!
xx
Thanks for that tip Oval Divide. I have the same problem with eczema but not thought of using olive oil. I am currently thinking of using a general face wash, but a gentle unperfumed one but then wonder if it might be too drying for my skin? I currently use Simple wipes, I never know what to use to be honest. The wipes are OK though, have you used them, or a face wash?
I havent tried Simple wipes no, as i've always been scared that they'd sting (damn sensitive skin!).
I used to use mosturising soap for years, even though everywhere tells you that you shouldn't, and it did dry up my skin but control my ezcema for a while.
I think a nice creamy face wash would be a good alternative, like i said i tried Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish face cleanser, which was nice for a while but soon stopped working! However i'd give it a go as everyones skins different and some of my friends loved it.
I think a face wash would work but stay away from too foamy ones, and look out for cream cleansers, as they leave your skin less dry.
Ok i'm rambling now, but how bads your ezcema, and where is it on your face?
Hi, its more my forehead that is sore and stings a lot. I also get eczema on my hands and sensitive skin all over. I do tend to use aqueous cream as a face wash sometimes or the E45 wash cream, both are soothing but a bit greasy and my face never feels clean if you know what I mean. I was thinking about a light gel face wash with only a mild lather (the N07 one looks gentle) just to make me feel more refreshed in a morning but then I have had advice about staying away from gels and foaming products when you have eczema so maybe I need to give in and just stick with the emolients?
Hi,
I jist wanted to say please stay away from the facial wipes - they are really only supposed to be used occasionaly as they are not good for anyone's skin, leat of all any one who suffers from eczema.
I have a very mild form of eczema and I have found Dermalogica skin smoothing cream to be the best moisturiser around. I get hardly any outbreaks since I started with this.
I also like acqueous cream or silcocks base (this is a little less greasy, you may prefer it).
Try the olive oil for cleansing, it really is excellent :)
