Microplaners - a quick ?
Question:

Microplaners - a quick ?
How often do you use yours & have you noticed the blades dulling at all?
I've had mine 3 years this summer & use it religiously every 3 weeks. I've started to notice that it's taking more effort to get a result, lately. I doubt that I could send it back for sharpening so it looks like I'll have to fork out for a new one (don't mind so much, though, as I had mine direct from Microplane for $20 + $5 shipping before all the hype upped the prices  - sometimes I think we're better off not having companies open up in Europe as they always knock up the prices. Paula's Choice is another one that would send out cheaply from the US if asked but their prices went up steeply with the opening of a European shop, too.).
Okay, rant over. Back to the question. So has anyone else noticed this?

Answers:

I've not had mine a year yet, so it's difficult to say.

Check out this site: http://us.microplane.com/index.asp?P...TS&Category=25 - but don't bother with the creams etc. as they're not as good as Flexitol/CCS/Philosophy Soul Owner or just about any of the foot creams in Boots really.
There is a European site that you can order from but their shipping charges are extortionate. You can get them here at www.hqhair.com or from eBay sometimes.
If you suffer with rough or hard skin on your feet, you MUST get one of these!
