Da da daadada! Da da daadada!
Question:

Da da daadada! Da da daadada!
Yep that's my best Frank Sinatra 'New York, New York' impression Couldn't you tell?! :D

I'm off to the Big Apple in 3 weeks time and am soooooooooo unbelievably excited! I've never been before, and am reeeeeeally looking forward to going cosmetics shopping New York style.
Has anyone been before and can you recommend any good places to pick up lovely make-up, and any brands that are best to invest in over the water with the dollar / pound ratio being quite good at the moment? I'm particularly interested in Stila, Urban Decay, Pout etc, but is there anything more 'growed up' that would be a good one to look out for?
Thanks lots in advance

Hey there,

You are gonna have such a ball there - I love it soooo much there:boohoo: totally jealous.

Anyway you HAVE to check out the regular pharmacies/chemists they have there - they stock Redken and other great haircare ranges at ridiculously cheap prices. They also sell Aveda in them too - its bizarre!

Bloomingdales and Macys are good for make up counters.
Have fun

Aw thank you fashionaddict78 :) but sorry for making you cry!

I've never been somewhere so posh before (or at least in my head its posh!) so I'm really nervous as well... thanks for the recommendations though! Can't believe they have super-cheap Redken & Aveda! Yum yum!

My friend has told me about somewhere called Zeforah I think that sells loads of different brands of make-up under one roof... have you heard of it?
