gross face- bumpy, congested skin... advice anyone?
Question:

gross face- bumpy, congested skin... advice anyone?
hey there. i think the title says it all! i've been an avid reader of these forums for ages so thought i'd better join up and ask for some help! i'm 19 now, and for the past 4 years my face has been very congested (i think.) by this i mean my forehead, chin and cheeks (just either side of my nose) have zillions of bumps which will not go away. (pimple sized but not at all inflamed- seem pretty much dormant.) i also have lots of blackheads on and around nose, and a few dotted around my forehead.
I currently use Clinique 3-step and it actually works brilliantly for me! despite all the reviews on here, i gave their free samples a try and was pleased, esp. with the ddmg. I tend to use the body shop tea tree oil cleanser in the evening, though, as theirs doesn't remove makeup. also i cleanse using a gentle facial brush by the body shop (exfoliation ahoy.) oh and lush mask of magnaminty about once a week, sometimes more .
hmm lots of information! i dont have a perfect diet but i get enough vitamins and drink loads of water. so im just wondering about any miracle products anyone knows of! or recs for a decent facial!
cheers all. hope someone replies :)

I'd go see the doctor, they should be able to help as its a very common problem. There are so many things out there nwo that will help. So go see your doc, ist teh only thing i have found affective as various products etc just didn't solve it.
But also try to keep a heathly diet, lots of water and be careful not to strip your skin of all its oil by over washing with harsh products. Though Clinique should be fine.
But overall my best advice is pop in to docs and see what they recommend.
Good luck x

cool. thank you! i did visit my doctor about my skin a couple of years ago but i was pretty much treated like a hypochondriac- "all teenagers get bad skin, buy some clearasil" etc etc. humph. but i'm at uni away from home now so will try out my new doctor! lol. cheers xxx

Thats a disgrace!!!
Its a genuine problem and I suffered for years but thankfully my doc was helpful.
Don't let them fob you off, it really is worth a go as there is loads they can do to help now and its worth doing in my experience.

decleor essential balm is fab for congested skin - you use it for 10 days at a time as a treatment, not every night as your skin will just get used to it
you can buy decleor alor cheaper from www.essentialdayspa.com
