Question:

Please help...Foundation for acne prone skin?
I really need some help from you guys!
I suffer from acne but since finding out I am pregnant my skin has got even worse. I constantly have lumps and spots on my cheeks and chin that just don't go away. There is a lot of red marks and I wouldn't dare go out without foundation.
I have just finished a bottle of Lancome Teint Idole foundation and thought it was okay when applied with a brush... but surely there is a better foundation out there for my skin!! The main ones I have tried recently are MAC Studio Fix Foundation (gave me more spots) and Clinique Superbalanced. I am using MAC Studio Fix Concealer which is definitely the best i have found so far, but I just can't find the perfect foundation.
I'd like to try Prescriptives Custom Blend but would hate for the perfect SA to have to analyse my bare skin. I'm so embarrassed by its condition :o
I am hoping to go on another course of ro-accutane once I have had the baby but until then I need your advice and recommendations. It's getting me so down every time I look in the mirror.
Please help!

I feel like I'm always reccing this but it's only because it's the best foundation I've found for my spot-prone skin - Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation. :) It's all natural & perfect for problem skin as it doesn't clog pores. I started using it in April & haven't looked back! I would never go back to liquid foundation now & I just love how quick & easy it is to apply. You put it on with a kabuki brush & just buff it into your skin. It looks like a powder but doesn't feel like it on your skin iyswim? It feels really light & you don't look as though you're wearing makeup at all. My skin has improved a lot since using this so I definitely think it's worth you trying it. There are loads of different shades available & you can get samples for 99p.

Hope this helps. :)

Totally agree with what Lisa7 said!
I started using Lily Lolo after reading her mammoth thread recommending it months ago and I haven't looked back since :D
I tried using a liquid foundation again the other week and the whole palava of painting it onto your skin with the brush drove me insane and I hated the fact that it is so blatantly obvious that you are wearing it.
Lily Lolo is sooooo easy to apply, it gives me the most flawless skin (I have spots too but they have calmed down a lot since using this) and you really can't see that you're even wearing it.
I would definitely recommend that you try it :)

I used to use BeneFit's playsticks when I had acne. They offer really good coverage.

Mineral Foundations are excellent for spotty skin, pressed powders too like Mac Studio Fix. Becarefull of MMU that contain talk and mica though they can be irritating which can cause more breakouts or other sensitive issues.
