Estee Lauders Double Wear
Question:

Estee Lauders Double Wear
  Hey all,
Query about EL Double Wear. Is it me or have they made it thinner now since they've got the concealer and compact ranges out? :cmdunno:
I finally finished my Fresco one a few weeks ago, which was fab - I would put it on in the morning for work and it would still look good when I rolled in at midnight after a few glasses of vino! :wine:
However, after purchasing another one 2 weeks ago from Boots, I found the consistancy thinner and it wears away by lunchtime like the cheaper foundations. I've not alterered my skin care routine, nor moisturiser - everythings the same with me, so could it be the foundation. I'd rather not pay £22.00 for a foundation that only has the staying power of a few hours, I'd rather stick to my tried and teated Max factor. I've had to resort to using a cheaper foundation and using the EL one on top which is not economical nor the whole reason for buying double wear.
Me thinks a ploy to make you buy the concealers and the powders. :detect:

Hey Flossie!

I raved about this yesterday in a thread and I think it's fab.

I don't know if you know or not but the SA told me to put on one thin layer, leave it to set, and then put another layer on.... mine lasted for hours and it does everyday. I've only got a tester and my new bottle is due to arrive on Monday.

I love this stuff and I am very impressed.:D

I used this for years and it is a brilliant foundation. BUT I have discovered Revlon Colorstay which is a very similar product, much the same consistency and staying power but with a wider range of colours and half the price.
