Question:
Skin help needed!!
Hiya
OK, having a bit of bother with my skin. Normally my skin is fine, a little dry but normal mostly with no spots. But lately I seem to be breaking out in blimmin' lumpy spots. Not sure what to do.:( Also when I use my beloved St Ives face exfoliator which I use twice a week, this seems to be the start of the spots.....ugh.
Also, am trying to watch pennies a bit, so don't want anything too expensive.
anybody got any ideas??
Maybe the exfoliater is irritating your skin. I use muslin cloths to cleanse my skin with sometimes and they are a bit gentler than proper exfoliaters. How about giving those a go. You can get a big pack for £5 in boots or superdrug.
What cleanser are you using atm, have you switched recently?. Maybe there's something you've ust started using that's irritated your skin dani.
:)
I find that exfoliators in general aggrivate my skin.
I also find that using Lush Ultra Bland cleanser with a hot flannel (used gently!) does the trick like nothing else: cleanses, exfoliates, and lightly moisturises.
If you must use an exfoliator, I highly recommend the L'Oreal Man Expert one. It's got ultra fine scrubbies and isn't overly emollient and rinses clean. It's the only proper exfoliator I've used that doesn't break me out in spots. I only use this once a week.

Great advice :great: I use the TBS Vitamin C Micro Refiner once a week and my skin is less congested but not irritated - as Xanthia said, it's very fine and not emollient at all.

Well, in the mornings I just use a splash of water followed by St Ives Day cream. Occaisionally I'll use the St Ives exfoliator, seems to be different these days tho, dunno what they've done to it.
Then at night, I take my make up off with those Boots no 7 wipes, then usually put on some Avon night cream, which has ran out, so I'm just using whatever .
